Still Life with Grapes, Lemons, Bread, a Roemer and a Gilt Cup.
A monogrammed and similar work but with a reversed composition is located in Paris (Gal. d'Art Saint Honoré, see E. Gemar-Koeltzsch, Holländische Stillebenmaler im 17. Jahrhundert, Luca Bild Lexicon, part 1, p. 119).
The present work was part of a collection, offered at Sotheby's (on 11 th of December 1996), which hung in three luxurious hotels overlooking Lake Lucerne (Bürgenstock region). The collection was assembled by Friederich Frey-Fritz, who purchased the Bürgenstock in 1925, over a period of around 20 years.
