Joseph Van Bredael
(Antwerp 1688 - Paris 1739 )
Italian Landscape

Joseph Van Bredael was an Antwerp painter, particularly inspired by the landscapes of Jan Brueghel I.
During his long stay in France by the end of his life, he made several copies of Claude Lorrain's italianate landscapes.
Strangely enough there is no proof that he actually visited Italy.
