Allegory of Spring with Signs of the Zodiac (1 of a pair)

Spring fruits, vegetables and flowers are draped on a table. In the back 3 signs of the Zodiac (Aries, Taurus, Gemini) with a painting of Jacobo Bassano, representing farmers working in the fields. This allegory of spring was probably part a series of 4 (Allegory of the 4 seasons). Traditionally our work was attributed to the "Pseudo Jan van Kessel II" (Christie's Amsterdam, May 9th 2007, lot 54) but it has been clearly made by a Spanish painter, possibly working in Naples.
